{"id":12927,"date":"2023-12-05T17:34:28","date_gmt":"2023-12-05T17:34:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coastccu1dev.wpenginepowered.com\/?p=12927"},"modified":"2024-08-15T22:27:40","modified_gmt":"2024-08-15T22:27:40","slug":"five-promotions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coastccu.org\/five-promotions\/","title":{"rendered":"Coast Central Announces Five Member Services Promotions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five employees have recently been promoted at Coast Central Credit Union, including two newly created positions.<\/p>\n<p>Kay Serotta, formerly Arcata Uniontown Manager, has been promoted to the new position of Assistant Vice President\/Member Services Branches South, overseeing management and operational activities in locations in Arcata Eureka, and Fortuna.\u00a0 Serotta has 25 years of credit union experience and joined CCCU in 2018.\u00a0 A graduate of Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly), she has been active in the community, including Friends for Animal Life Rescue, Arcata Noon Rotary, Arcata Chamber of Commerce, and serves as Chair for the Board of Commissioners\u2019 Eureka Housing Authority.<\/p>\n<p>Trina Cardoza, formerly Manager of Willow Creek and Hoopa locations, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President\/Member Services Branches North.\u00a0 In addition to overseeing her former locations, she is also responsible for McKinleyville, Crescent City, and Weaverville.\u00a0 Cardoza is a 24-year employee of CCCU, starting her career as a Member Services Representative.\u00a0 She attended College of the Redwoods and is a graduate of the Western Credit Union National Association Management School.\u00a0 Active in her community, Cardoza is Board President of Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce and Board Secretary of Dream Quest Youth Partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Maya Martin, former Arcata Uniontown Member Services Supervisor, has been promoted to Manager of that location.\u00a0 Martin joined CCCU in 2015 while attending Humboldt State, graduating in 2016 with a Business Management degree.\u00a0 She also worked in New Accounts at Uniontown and was Manager at Arcata Giuntoli. Martin is a former Board member of Zero Waste Humboldt and has volunteered regularly in trash pick-ups and Friends for Life Animal Rescue.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Scott, former Willow Creek Member Services Supervisor, has been promoted to Manager of that location.\u00a0 Scott joined CCCU in 2020 as a Member Services Representative, and also worked in New Accounts. She was named an Employee of the Month in 2022 and has received multiple Quality Service Awards for her exceptional commitment to members.\u00a0 She is on the Board of Dream Quest and has been active with Toys for Tots for many years.<\/p>\n<p>Rikki Tonkin has been promoted to Hoopa Manager, previously serving as Member Services Supervisor there.\u00a0 Tonkin has worked for CCCU for over 11 years, starting as an on-call Representative.\u00a0 She was named an Employee of the Month in 2021.\u00a0 Tonkin is a graduate of St. Bernard\u2019s High School (now Academy), College of the Redwoods, and Humboldt State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to recognize these outstanding female leaders and their contributions to Coast Central over a collective 50 years with well-earned promotions,\u201d stated James T. Sessa, President &amp; CEO. \u201cTheir dedication to exceeding member expectations, community involvement, teamwork, and staff development are highly valued and will serve our organization and members well in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coast Central Credit Union is the largest member-owned financial institution in the area, with $2 billion in assets, over 77,000 members, and operating 11 Member Services Branches throughout Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties, including McKinleyville, open six days a week and Bayshore Mall, open seven days a week.\u00a0 Additionally, members have access to a network of 30,000 free CO-OP ATMs nationwide.
