Scholarships are awarded in the amount of up to $5,000 each, disbursed over a four-year period.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">25 recipients will be selected based on multiple factors, including an essay on overcoming adversity; financial need; commitment to education, either through academic performance or consistent improvement during high school; and community and\/or school involvement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI am very proud to share that our scholarship program has been recognizing and supporting local young people, their exceptional achievements, and their academic pursuits for 40 years,\u201d stated CCCU President &amp; CEO Fred Moore. \u201cWith gratitude to our volunteer Board of Directors, this program is part of a total level of giving of $650,000 this year.
