Coast Central Credit Union announced that Fred J. Moore has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Moore will report to James T. Sessa, who was named President & CEO in October 2017. Moore most recently served 14 years as Chief Financial Officer at Redwood Capital Bank, having guided that organization from its charter application through start-up in 2004.<\/p>\n
Moore is a Certified Public Accountant and brings a total of 23 years of related financial institution experience to his new post. He previously served as Senior Vice President\/Controller at Humboldt Bancorp, the billion-dollar holding company for four separate banks, including locally-owned Humboldt Bank. He also held management posts in operations, technology, compliance, and auditing.<\/p>\n
Sessa stated, \u201cThe Board of Directors and I are very pleased to welcome Fred to the Coast Central Credit Union family. His many years of related experience, knowledge and understanding of our local communities, and commitment to prudent financial management will serve the credit union and our membership very well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Moore is a 5th<\/sup> generation Humboldt County resident, attended Eureka High School and graduated from Humboldt State University in Business Administration with emphasis on Accounting. He is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. He has been active in the community, recently serving as President of the Ingomar Club, Board involvement with Humboldt Fire District #1, and is active with the Elks Club. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.<\/p>\n Moore and his wife Jackie reside in Eureka and have two daughters currently in college, Maddie and Natalie.<\/p>\n Founded in 1950, Coast Central Credit Union was recently recognized by BauerFinancial, Inc. as earning a Five-Star SUPERIOR rating for 95 consecutive quarters as of March 2018.
