Coast Central Credit Union President\/CEO James T. Sessa, announced that, together with generous support from its members, a total of $13,475 has been donated to Camp Fire relief efforts in Paradise.<\/p>\n
Coast Central made a $11,275 donation to non-profit TLK Foundation, a partner of Yuba City-based Sierra Central Credit Union, with several branches in Butte County. The Foundation\u2019s commitment is that 100% of funds collected through donations will be distributed to Camp Fire survivors.<\/p>\n
Coast Central also made a $2,200 contribution to Butte County Toys for Tots for the purchase of toys for children directly affected by the Camp Fire.<\/p>\n
The fire, which started on November 8, is the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history, killing 85 residents and destroying nearly 12,000 homes in Paradise. 11 individuals remain missing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe continued giving spirit of our membership is extraordinary,\u201d Sessa stated. \u201cIn support of the Carr and Mendocino fire victims, members and the credit union previously contributed over $16,000 in donations. To be able to collectively give another $13,000 to Camp Fire survivors, especially during the holidays, reminds us what an exceptional community in which we live.\u201d<\/p>\n
Donations will continue to be accepted at all Coast Central Member Services Branches, and 100% of all contributions will be awarded to deserving organizations in direct support of victims of the fire.<\/p>\n
