Coast Central Credit Union announced that Jera Newland has been appointed to Manager, Member Services of its Eureka Downtown location at 4th<\/sup> & F streets, reporting to VP Member Services Kristin Blair.\u00a0Newland will oversee 10 employees and have responsibility for operations, lending, and new member opportunities. The location also features Member Business Services and Coast Central Financial and Retirement Planning.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Newland comes to the credit union with 13 years of local financial institution experience. Most recently, she served as Branch Manager of US Bank\u2019s Henderson Center Eureka and Ferndale locations.\u00a0Prior to that, she held management positions at Chase Bank.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A Humboldt County native, Newland has been active in her community, including Eureka Rotary Club, Henderson Center Merchant Association, Humboldt County Fair Junior Livestock Auction, Fortuna Chamber, Humboldt Youth Soccer League, and many other local organizations. She resides in Cutten with her husband and has two children, an 18-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Founded in 1950, Coast Central Credit Union is the largest member-owned financial institution in the area, with over 70,000 members and operating 11 Member Services Branches throughout Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties, including McKinleyville and Bayshore Mall, which are open seven days a week.
